Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Martin knew he wanted to go into some kind of healthcare field from an early age, and it wasn’t until he was in high school that he decided to pursue becoming a dentist instead of a physician. Despite this, he did go on to practice in a hospital setting for the majority of his career.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After graduating from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in biology, Dr. Martin obtained his DDS from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Following graduation, he returned to his hometown of Corpus Christi to start his own solo practice, which still operates today. These days, he is also part of the Corpus Christi Area Cancer Team, coordinating and providing dental care for patients undergoing head and neck cancer treatment.

On top of this, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Nueces Valley District Dental Association, and the Corpus Christi Dental Study Club.
