Dr. Ashley says that the best part about being at our dental practice is that she gets to work and learn alongside her father, Dr. Garza, while treating our patients in a gentle, caring way. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
As a child, Dr. Ashley was able to shadow her dad, and this allowed her to fall in love with dentistry. She liked the one-on-one relationships and how a dentist could help people in so many different ways while boosting their overall health, so she was more than happy to follow in her dad’s footsteps.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Ashley started her college career at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi before going on to graduate from her father’s alma mater, the UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry. Always pushing herself to learn more and improve, she is involved in organized dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Nueces Valley District Dental Society.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Ashley married her high school sweetheart, Dr. Marcos Garcia, who is a periodontist who currently practices in Corpus Christi. They have three children, Leila, Charles, and Scarlett that are the center of their world. When she has free time, Dr. Ashley enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and relaxing with family.
